Life, the famous American magazine, has decided to graciously share their photography archive. Images are provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use only.
In existence since 1860, Life’s collection is impressive, with published photographs, but also and perhaps most importantly, shots that have never been published or released to the public. Being an archive, most photographs are obviously dated, but can still be used for such chronologically related material, or as a source of inspiration for vintage graphic design creations. The website promises its database to be continuously fed and shared.
