Langkawi adventures part 2

During our stay in Langkawi, we discovered that we had many choices of activities. It’s so great that you can choose between very quiet, nearly alone time, or full of activities stay.

If you know us a little you could guess that we happily enjoyed both. We had some days when we practiced Muay Thai in our secret passage from our bungalow to the beach. Followed by swimming in the sea, and reading book while sun tanning. Or we were hunting for places with internet connection to work for days on end, catching up with uploading pictures and talking to people that matter in our lives. I admit that was a challenge, however cafe Hungry Monkey and restaurant The Brasserie seem to offer decent connections. Other days, we enjoyed some of the water sports and road trips.

As I mentioned in my previous post, we stayed two weeks on the island. During that time, we decided to hire a scooter to cover the beautiful island, rent a kayak for a day and go to some of the most beautiful wild beaches placed an island away. Given more time, we would have done much more of that just because it’s worth it :) . There are so many gorgeous unspoiled islands around Langkawi, with white sand beaches easily accessible and definitely worth seeing.

As much as we are not big fans of organised group excursions we also did an island hopping, which included a not so exciting eagle feeding with a chicken :/; a moment at the Lake of Pregnant Maiden; followed by a short 30 min on the stunning Beras Basah Island with another 100 people, and believe me as gorgeous as it is, it’s not that big. We had just enough time to linger around, and follow some crabs with my camera.

While visiting Langkawi, it doesn’t matter how you do it, whether you decide to do it by yourself or go for days of organized excursions. However it is important that you go to explore the incredible islands, otherwise you will miss out on some of the most beautiful beach views ever.
